Since he was a child, Ying has had an interest in capturing the experiences of daily life through the lens of a camera, starting with his family's DSLR. However, it wasn’t until his brother’s entry into the world of photography and subsequent capture of amazing travel photos that Ying decided to get his own DSLR and begin studying and exploring photography.

What began with capturing memorable moments on family trips to Taiwan has become a passion which has seen Ying traveling and exploring the world, camera in hand. Deriving his guiding principles from Nichiren Buddhism, which stresses the importance of creating value with one’s abilities, Ying aspires to create art that gives hope and inspiration to others, while embracing the concept that nothing is ever out of reach; one just needs to build a better jet pack.
